What is happiness and Job well done?

Promotions, admission into desired pri sch, pregnancies, buying new properties, new ventures, did i miss out anything? Well done friends!
A friend was quoted as saying this on fb, and I was wondering ..

Is happiness dependent on what you have achieved what others have achieved?

Life is like a cup of coffee ...

And how many can do it?

Life is Like a Cup of Coffee
Spiritual Story by Unknown

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups have been taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.

Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups.

Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of life we live.

Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee. Savor the coffee, not the cups!

The happiest people don't have the best of everything.
They just make the best of everything.

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.

Chengdu - Jiuzhaigou

Off for a short holiday with family
will be back with LOTS of photographs!!

Before and after ...

After my first trial with Shirley, Ltan has been complaining to me about her small eye! She also want to be my guinea pig, I am so excited hahaha!! Another guinea pig for me, why not. Her complain, she has one single eyelid, and one double eyelid. She says it has been a big problem for her, so I took up the challenge!!

Her small single eyelid kekeke ...
Initially I still don't dare to be too overly dramatic, but she CAN ACCEPT DRAMA!!!
So I keep adding colour, keep drawing her eye liner thicker!!
Hahaha, unlike that previous GUINEA PIG la, shirley cannot take the dark dark colour. Keep saying she look ODD! Hahaha, Ltan is a better guinea pig!! She even want to do it DARKER!!

The after Effect, EYE BIGGER THAN MINE!!
WTF!! Hahahaha, I shouldn't be angry la.
Hahaha that is the effect she wanted, heeeee, another happy GUINEA Pig!
Next time need to CHARGE $$$ le huh!
By the way my guinea pigs have to put their own fake eyelash hahaha~

Letter to Juliet ...

Men are like a fine wine. They start out like grapes, and it's our job to stomp on them and keep them in the dark until they mature into something you'd like to have dinner with. ~Author Unknown

I am such a sucker to Romantic Movie, but it is NO FUN watching it with hubby! Hahaha, he don't have any romantic bones in his body!! But atlas, I will always wait to come back and watch and sob over a romantic movie with my girlfriends. Such a shame, I miss Sex and the City II with them this year!! *Sob-sob* ...

I categorised Letter to Juliet under Romantic Comedy!
Amanda Seyfried is like the next Drew Barrymore, she has such a next door gal look; Very America Sweetheart! I sort of slowly took a liking to her. She is natural ...

And surprising the 2 character that caused the tears are the 2 senior actor; Claire and Lorenzo!!
OMG, when the 2 of them meet, the scene are just so TOUCHING!

50years after separation and they can find each other and continue the lost love, soooooooooo UNREAL! How I wish YQ and I, will also have such love at 65years old, giggling down a vineyard like 2-18yrs old teenager! Hahaha, I guess if we didn't KILL each other by then, THAT would be a RECORD!

Her entourage built the well in 1459 which became the main source of water for much of the town. It is believed that the well has never dried up, even in the most extreme of drought.

The well was also said to have been filled with poison before by the Javanese during the Dutch occupation and another time by the Japanese during World War Two.

Today, it is a famous wishing well and those who throw coins into it are said to come to Malacca time and time again in the future.

Interesting - Women and Men

From around the world wide web!

9 Deadly Words Used By A Woman

1) Fine
This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2) Five Minutes
If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3) Nothing
This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4) Go Ahead
This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!

5) Loud Sigh
This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6) That’s Okay
This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7) Thanks
A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here – This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ – that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’ . that will bring on a ‘whatever’).

8 ) Whatever
Is a woman’s way of saying F– YOU!

9) Don’t worry about it, I got it
Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to #3.

9 Deadly Words Used by a Man
In response to my previous post “9 Deadly Words Used by a Woman” I present;

9 Deadly Words Used by a Man
1) Hello
This means they want sex.

2) What’s your name?
This means they want sex.

3) How was your day?

4) Are you going to eat that?

5) Can you direct me to the nearest gas station?

6) Nice weather we’re having.

7) A hamburger with large fries, please.

8) How’s your sister?

9) You have nice lips.

Welcome to Beuford Hotel. One of the latest addition of affordable hotel in Melaka since it was declare UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.

Located in the heart of Melaka, within walking distance from tourism spots and shopping, it's no wonder why Beuford Hotel is one of the preferred choice of hotel for travellers.
